I needed a way to keep track of how long I work on my projects, I was tired of using Exel and I couldn't find a program that would do exactly what I wanted - so I just made my own.

The Time Tracker (TT) is an application created to help track, visualise and budget time spent working on any task/assignment/project.

TT provides an easy way to see at glance how long and on which tasks you've worked at any given day, how much time a single project has taken in total, and optionally how much time you have yet to work to meet a monthly goal.

Features include:

  • Create and edit Time Entries in a Project > Task > Entry hierarchy.
  • Color-code your Projects and Tasks to tell them apart at glance.
  • Save and load your time tracking data as XML.
  • Visualize time tracking data in different ways, including per Month, per Day and per Project.
  • See how much time you spend working on average, and set a Monthly goal to see how close you are to achieving it.
  • See how much time a Project and its individual Tasks have taken.

The Time Tracker is now out of beta!

Version 1.0 is a complete rewrite of the old application. I've ditched the ancient and barely functional Windows Forms, and pretty much remade the whole program from scratch using the Avalonia UI framework. This makes TT look better, perform faster, and it now runs natively on Linux as well!

If you find yourself using this app, do let me know if you run into any bugs or crashes, I will try to rectify as promptly as I can.
